“It was the best way to have that night because it was so overwhelming in general,” she said. “I think it would have been more overwhelming had I not been so tired.”

Bullock also described trying to leave the ceremony as soon as possible.
She said she could not simply walk out after winning because she still had to attend the afterparty and wait for the name to be placed on the award.
